Within the new season of the women's handball league, Vardar will welcome Kumanovo in the 1st round. The competition numbers were drawn and according to the teams' agreement, the championship will start on September 8th.
Nine teams will play in the 2018/19 season accompanied by the new teams CEMS and Spartak, both from Skopje. Two teams from last season – Vardar Junior and Gjorche Petrov – will not be part of this year's season.
A novelty for this season is the single round-robin system. Eighteen rounds will be played, completed with playoffs and playouts. The first five teams from the regular part will fight for the title. The other four will play the playouts.
